Match #1 - Steeves (7th place, 33 points) vs Dewar (1st place, 47 points)
Lanes 1 & 2 will feature a match-up with two teams coming off of victories last week. Garry Bell (977) picked up three points last week, and will face a challenge from Jennifer Devenney (920) this week. Ryan Bannerman (766) picked up a sweep last week in the leadoff position, and should be in an entertaining match with Jennifer Duncan (786, four points win) at the leadoff spot. The anchor battle features the person who led the league in headpins in Week 1 (Scott Hitchcock, 1023, four points won) and the person who lead the league in headpins in Week 2 (Marc Steeves, 909, two points won)
Thing you should bet on: more headpins, Scott or Marc
Predicted winner: Dewar
Match #2 - D. Gelardi (11th place 26 points) vs Naugler (15th place, 21 points)
Both of these teams are looking to rebound from losses last week. I expect Dwayne (921) to come back with a vengeance this week after getting swept last week. Kevin Naugler (971, four points won) rebounded nicely from his opening week disaster, and will be taking on Corey Chaikowski (790, two points won) this week.
Thing you should bet on: Linda Orne over/under 11.5 corners
Predicted winner: Naugler
Match #3 - May (16th place, 11 points) vs Youzwa (tied 9th place, 30 points)
Team May is looking to get their season fired up this week. Nakia Maxfield (706, four points won) was the only team member to take more than one point last week. He’s matched up this week with Neil Stewart (813, two points won) in the leadoff spot. There’s also a snowball fight between two recently named members of the St. James Snowmen in the three hole.
Thing you should bet on: Chad Hurd over/under 845 total
Predicted winner: Youzwa
Match #4 - Meurrens (14th place, 23.5 points) vs Cook (4th place, 39 points)
Team Meurrens is looking for their first win of the season, meanwhile Team Cook is looking to keep the winning streak going to start the season. Amy Crockett (910, four points won) takes on Cindy Cousins (884. three points won) in a battle of seconds who won their matches last week. Jesse Gagnon (857, three points won) will try and keep his win percentage high against Amanda Devenney (809, three points won).
Thing you should bet on: Lisa Carvalho over/under 5.5 corner spares made
Predicted winner: Cook
Match #5 - Costello (tied 2nd place, 41 points) vs Nelson (12th place, 25 points)
Team Costello is on fire to start the season, with the captain himself shooting 1171 last week. Kevin Grabowski will look to improve on last week’s 837 (three points won) in his match-up against Alley Bourcier, who also wants to improve on last week’s score (698, one point won). Looking forward to the battle of two up and coming bowlers in the two slot, between Robyn Kauenhofen and Quinton Crockett (830, two points won).
Thing you should bet on: Does Cordell bowl this week?
Actual thing you should bet on: Kyle Costello corner pins over/under 6.5
Predicted winner: Costello
Match #6 - Born (8th place, 30.5 points) vs Leyte (tied 2nd place, 41 points)
Both teams are coming off a win in week two, and look to keep the momentum going. Looking forward to seeing if Richard Parisian’s (875, two points won) power game can win out over Alycia Mann (1010, five points won). Matt Rodych has been great to start the season (1088, four points won) and takes over the anchor position this week against Geoff Born (1006, 4.5 points)
Thing you should bet on: Tim Gledhill over/under 5.5 corner pin spares made
Predicted winner: Born
Match # 7 -Boyko (tied 5th place, 37 points) vs Howarth (tied 9th place, 30 points)
Team Boyko comes into week three off a win last week, and look to keep it going this week. They have a very balanced first three bowlers, ranging from 218 to 230 in average that will cause some problems for Team Howarth. Key match-up of the night should be in the three spot, between Tyler Reynolds (906, four points won) and Craig Enns (100% win percentage this season).
Thing you should bet on: Will the anchors both shoot over 1000?
Predicted winner: Boyko
Match #8 - S. Gelardi (13th place, 24 points) vs Goulet (tied 5th place, 37 points)
Jayden Nickerson (1027, four points won) looks to keep his hot streak going for Team S. Gelardi in his match with TD Holland (997, four points won). Sam Gelardi will need to regain his regular form for his team to win. Brooke Goulet (1167, 90% win percentage) has been outstanding to start the season, wants to keep it going.
Thing you should bet on: Russell Knight over/under 18 strikes
Predicted winner: Goulet
