I was actually working at Dakota Lanes & Rossmere Lanes when the opportunity to buy my own bowling centre came available. I always wanted to own my own business, and I have always had a love for the sport of bowling.
In order to purchase my own business, I would have to leave my current job within the bowing community. I enjoyed my time working at Dakota & Rossmere lanes and knew I would miss my co-workers and the customers and league members I got to know while working there. I originally tried asking about buying shares, but the timing wasn't right for them, so in September of 1994, we bought St. James Lanes and Lounge and quickly began to learn the struggles and benefits of owning a small family business in Winnipeg.
